Our story

Forest is the creation of self-taught chef Plabita Florence. Our story began in 2019, first as a pop-up, then as a tiny 16-seat restaurant located at 177 Symonds Street, where we served a brand new 3-course set menu every week. In 2023, we grew and relocated to our current home at 243 Dominion Road, and still change something on our menu every week, while keeping a few of our favourites on offer for our guests to enjoy. Our main focus is to create food and drinks that make people happy, a space that feels welcoming to everyone, and an experience that inspires a bit of imagination.
